large wheel aiding speed and more road-surface contact adding stability.

Honda Air concept car 2010

The Honda Air concept was the vehicle Honda entered into the 2010 LA Auto Show's Design
Challenge competition.The Honda Air is a vision of the future of lightweight and alternative fuel
performance vehicles; a coastal cruiser for the aggressive lifestyle.
Inspiredby roller coastersas well as skydiving wing-suits, the Honda Air is powered by a
compressed air and pneumaticregulator system. It utilizes turbo vacuums and external air-flow
to regenerate tank pressure forextended range and increased boost for an estimated 100 miles.
The chassis doubles as themaster tank and all components, including seating, are mounted to
the central chassis/tank toeliminate redundant structure and reduce overall weight.

Porsche 918 Spyder Concept

Although Porsche don’t often create concept cars, today at the Geneva Motor Show 2010,
theyare goingto display the 918 Spyder concept. The Porsche 918 Spyder is a two-seater
sports car, which looks likea mix between a Carrera GT and a Boxster Spyder.The Porsche
918 Spyder is an impressive vehicle in almost every conceivable way. The stunning,
production-approved drop-top should be motivated by something close to the concept's
500-horsepower V8; almost weak by supercar standards but the still-powerful mill is
only part of the powertrain story. The 918 concept also featured a pair of 109-hp electric
motors powered by a lithium-ion battery capable of EV-only propulsion that theoretically
enables the 918 to drive 16 miles on electricity alone. Then there is perhaps the most
awesome statistic: the 918's rumored €500,000 ($650,000 in U.S. dollars) price tag.

Audi A0 QS Eco-Friendly Futuristic Sports Car

Created by Russian designer Alexander Tiganova, the Audi A0 QS concept is an eco-
friendlysports car, equipped with a hybrid drivetrain, consisting of an electric motor and a
hydrogen engine.

Besides the dynamic look and the sport oriented style, this concept vehicle benefits
from a
special rotation system of the wheels, inspired by the trike, that allows the wheels to
turn just by bending, without rotating along the vertical axis. The “Q” in the concept car’s
name stands for four-wheel drive and the “S” for support, according to the designer. This Audi
concept car’s doors are made from a rubber fabric, that can turn transparent, depending on the
driver’s needs. With a length of just 3.4 meters, this futuristic vehicle would have a great
advantage when driving on busy urban roads, or when parking.

SAIC-GM YeZ Eco-Friendly Concept Car 2030

The YeZ concept car is an all electric, eco-friendly vehicle that was designed by the
joint venture of SAIC and GM. The design of the car is environment-oriented and gets
its power from natural resources.

The concept vehicle features solar panels, which are located on the rooftop and small
wind turbines, placed on its wheels. Besides the solar panels, the roof of the YeZ will
benefit from an innovative system that will capture carbon dioxide from the surrounding
air and then release oxygen in the atmosphere. The electric energy generated by the
solar panels and the wind turbines it’s going to be stored in onboard batteries that will
power the vehicle. No technical specifications are available, since the YeZ concept is
only a dream of eco-friendly cars that will be used in 2030.

Talking of the Dakar Rally, designer Klaud Wasiak has conjured up the Husser Dakar Rally
concept. The Husser looks like a over sized, futuristic dune buggy with winged projections at
the rear. This concept takes inspiration from a very unlikely source, the Polish cavalry winged
uniform, from the 18th century. Taking things to all new levels, the navigator will have to handle
the winged projections while the driver goes about dune bashing. Quite a handful, we say.
Last but definitely not the least, we take a look at designer Pablo De Titta’s Urban Quad
concept.Designed primarily as an urban commuting solution, the Urban Quad looks very
futuristic.More stylish than utilitarian, the Urban Quad will definitely need more than style
